Flip style case for Treo-600

ASSETS: Liked it so much I bought another. The flip portion of the case is quite rigid and does an excellent job for me protecting the display from inadvertant impacts during my tough morning train commute. I've smashed a display in the not too distant past while I had my Treo in the much-heralded (and incredibly more expensive) Vaja I-Volution 600. This Bellagio case is also more functional and much better looking than the Vaja. Bellagio also does a better job with the application of personalized text than does Vaja. DETRIMENTS: The belt clip needs to be more durable. The design of the belt clip is more sophisticated and uses higher quality components than the norm, but holding the entire assembly together with those two tiny screws seems to have been a significant engineering oversight. This belt clip seems to be more susceptible to damage due to torsional stress, or excessive vertical loading because of the way the assembly is held together. I have grafted a standard Motorola beeper chain to the Treo with a short length of fishing monofilament line looped around the Treo's antenna running down the inside of the case, just to be on the safe side. This has worked well. Purchasing replacement belt clips as they break seems to be an ongoing expense and hassle.
